Avoiding Day-Of Drama

Are you worried about drama on your wedding day? You are not alone… literally… you will not be alone for the entire day. We say this jokingly but think about it, it is true.

It can be a big concern when family members clash and friends from all social circles are mingling in one room with an open bar. Having a plan in place and knowing your people are vital to enjoying your day to the fullest.

Overstepping family: Appoint a buffer person to be ready to step in when a family member is trying to make decisions for your or dictate your day. Have someone close who is willing to guide away or distract anyone who may cause you stress during your wedding.

Excited friends: Of course, you want to catch up with friends you haven’t seen in a while, but this can take a lot out of your day! Make a point to reach out to friends prior to the wedding to avoid playing 20 questions when you stop by their table.

The in-laws: If your in-laws don’t get along with each other, consider where they are seated and at what points they will interact to avoid too much time in close proximity. Let your wedding planner know when going over the seating chart and timeline to maintain peace.
